PURPOSE: To provide law enforcement and correction personnel with advance tactical tracking skills, techniques, tactics and operational procedures that are necessary for them to conduct tracking operations in pursuit of fleeing felons, suspect and escaped inmates.

SCOPE OF TRAINING

  • COMMAND AND CONTROL
  • BOOBY TRAP AND EH IDENTIFICATION
  • TRACKING AND SURVEILLANCE                               
  • ANTI-TRACKING TECHNIQUES                   
  • ANTI-TRACKING TTP                                      
  • CAMOUFLAGE AND CONCEALMENT         
  • ADVANCED SHOOTING TECHNIQUES                                      
  • TRACKING IN URBAN TERRAIN
  • BACK TRACKING OPERATIONS                          
  • NIGHT TRACKING OPERATIONS

PREREQUISITES:  All participants must be commissioned law enforcement or corrections personnel, and be employed by a municipal, county, state or federal agency.          

  • Must have passed agency annual physical exam within 12 months of the class start date.             
  • Must not possess a medical profile that would prohibit participation in training and must not be taking any medications that may affect reflexes or judgment.
  • Must meet and maintain their agencies height and weight standards.  
  • Must be capable of walking 5 to 10 miles per day.
  • Must be qualified to carry departmental firearm.
