This course caters for the federal agent, police officer, or Sheriff’s deputy who work in rural or back country areas who may face armed and dangerous felons. The course is designed to familiarize the student with the skills and knowledge to operate safely and confidently for days at a time beyond the reach of civilized resources and amenities available to his urban counterparts. Officers involved in counter-drug operations, illegal immigrant and fugitive issues, illegal weapon modification, search and rescue, natural resource theft, counter poaching and rustling, hazardous material dumping, environmental and pollution issues, fire investigation and other “off the beaten track” pursuits. This class has included students responsible for protecting the President at one of his country retreats.
