A solid requisite for Special Operations, Emergency Services teams and SWAT officers. Although this course can stand alone in its own right, it is a ‘natural’ supplement to a tracking or sniping course as a valuable and very relevant add-on. The skills and abilities learned will ensure that the qualifying student will have all that it takes to conduct operations in woodland and backcountry settings where communications and technology resources are in short supply. The Surveillance component of this course is conducted by a former professional hunter, John Morgando, who trained himself to observe and recognize territories of trophy animals so that less time would be taken in searching rather than stalking and acquiring the target. John has been described by a national sales manager of a prestigious binocular company as “twenty years ahead of his time when it comes to using optics effectively.”

The course consists of eight modules and is ideal for counter-drug operations, rural surveillance of criminal enterprises, to identify wanted subjects, to collect evidence of criminal activities, to gather information for subsequent exploitation etc:

  1. Camouflage and concealment in woodland and wilderness terrains.
  2. Field-craft and tactical movement in a woodland setting
  3. Familiarity with Optics and their use in diverse terrains and conditions.
  4. Day and night observation techniques
  5. New surveillance technologies.
  6. Anti-tracking techniques
  7. Field shooting techniques
  8. Field exercises – day and night.

Program and course schedule to be announced shortly.
